Has Western society turned it's back on elderly people?
In many cultures around the world the whole family will help each other to look after the frail and aging grandparents, maybe because no such things as nursing homes and pensions but it is a wonderful amazing thing to see. After all these are the people that worked hard and brought you into the world.
Because of bad economics, people working full time, having fewer children, living apart and widespread from other family members then it's par for the course that grandparents end up in a nursing home most of the time.
Do you think it's really sad that we can't be there for them because of our lifestyles and they wait to die sat in a room with a load of strangers feeling like a number and not valid anymore.
What are all your feelings on this
